Other key features allow for synthesis and sound design unique to the Mono Station. There are two oscillator sequencers and one modulation sequencer – each with the flexibility to adjust Gate length, switch patterns instantly, choose sync rate, and mutate patterns. Each oscillator comes with individual control of sync and tuning parameters, and the monophonic and paraphonic modes include individual glide control. 32 velocity-sensitive RGB pads provide a comfortable platform to create and perform sequenced patterns with the oscillators.
Both monophonic and paraphonic modes are available, with each oscillator controlled by its own sequencer. The Circuit Mono Station is a paraphonic analog synthesizer with three sequencer tracks. For anyone familiar with Novation products, the Circuit Mono Station is a cross between the Circuit, Peak, and Bass Station II – taking the layout of knobs from the Peak, combining with the workflow of the Circuit, and mixing those features with the sound engine of the Bass Station II (we have a Bass Station II here and love its ability to produce fat, dirty or clean, analog bass sounds while retaining clarity). This could be a great tool to add some new flavor to your productions or give a new avenue for songwriting. Our first impression is this synth/sequencer has a lot of really cool, applicable features, and it looks like a lot of fun.
